Add KoreDefo to Excel
KoreDefo is not yet listed in Microsoft's official add-in store, so you add it to Excel directly using the steps below. It takes about 5 minutes.
Requirements: Excel in Microsoft 365 (Windows desktop or Excel on the web). Perpetual-license versions such as Excel 2019 and earlier are not supported.
Open Excel
Open the workbook you want to check. Any workbook will do.
Click "Add-ins"
On the ribbon at the top, open the Home tab and click Add-ins, near the right end.
Note: in some versions of Excel, the button is Get Add-ins on the Insert tab instead. If you can't find it, check both tabs.
Click "More Add-ins"
In the panel that opens on the right, click More Add-ins near the bottom.
Switch to the "My Add-ins" tab
In the dialog that opens, select the My Add-ins tab at the top.
Click "Upload My Add-in"
Click the Upload My Add-in link in the top-right corner of the dialog.
Don't see it? See "If Upload My Add-in doesn't appear" below.
Select the file you downloaded
Choose the file koredefo-excel-add-in.xml that you saved earlier and upload it. If you saved it from the link in our email, it is usually in your Downloads folder.
Click the KoreDefo icon
The KoreDefo icon appears on the right side of the Home tab. Click it to open the KoreDefo task pane on the right.
Enter your license key
Paste the license key from your sign-up email into the Paste your license key box in the task pane, then click Apply. You're ready to go.
· Personal Microsoft 365 (Personal / Family): desktop Excel does not show Upload My Add-in for personal accounts. This is how Microsoft designed it. Follow the same steps in Excel on the web (Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins > My Add-ins > Upload My Add-in) and use KoreDefo there. We are preparing a listing in Microsoft's official add-in store.
· Work or school account: your organization may restrict which add-ins you can add. Ask your IT administrator.
