KoreDefo ("we", "us" or "our") sets out this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") on how we handle customers' personal information in connection with the Office add-in "KoreDefo" (the "Service").

  The most important principle: the quality check and automatic correction functions of the Service run entirely on your PC. We never transmit to or store on our servers the contents (data, formatting, structure, etc.) of Target Files (files the Service works on, such as Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations). We obtain only the minimum information needed for license management, as listed in "2. Information we obtain" below.

Information we do not obtain: the contents of Target Files, your name, phone number or address (except where you choose to provide them when contacting us).

About the Team plan: the check criteria published by the administrator (which check items are used, their severity, and the allowed fonts setting) are stored on our servers and delivered to each member's add-in. Even in this case, the contents of Target Files are never transmitted.

3. Purposes of use

To issue, authenticate and renew license keys
To contact you about the end of your trial and about payments
To send important notices about the Service
To respond to inquiries
To allow the administrator, under the Team plan, to assign licenses, suspend their use and check usage status
To prevent abuse

4. Provision to third parties and outsourcing

We operate the Service using the following external services. We provide information to these providers only to the extent necessary for them to provide their respective services.

Stripe, Inc. (payment processing)
Resend (email delivery)
Supabase (database hosting)

Other than the above, we do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

5. Retention period

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes set out in "3. Purposes of use", and delete it without delay once it is no longer necessary. However, where retention is required by law, we retain it for the period set by that law.

6. Security measures

License keys are issued in a format that allows forgery or tampering to be detected by a cryptographic signature, and all communications are encrypted with TLS. Access to the database is restricted to the extent necessary for business purposes.

7. Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, etc.

You may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of the personal information about you that we hold. Contact us through the contact form. After verifying your identity, we will respond in accordance with applicable laws.

8. Cookies

The Service's website does not currently use cookies for analytics or similar purposes.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy as necessary. The changed Policy takes effect when it is posted on our website.
